Great interior design is always made by Scandinavians.
I agree that always is a strong word. Maybe mostly would be more appropriate. I was wondering for quite a long time why this might be the case. Is it because the weather is not the best, part of the year is basically dark and people spend more time in their homes? If this is really the reason why so many wonderful interior design items are created by Danes, Swedes and Norwegians I hope that global warming will be stopped soon.
One of the great interior design objects I was referring to is Oscar. Next to my beloved Hoptimist this little wooden guy got a special place in my flat.
Oscar is part of the Architectmade collection which is a unique selection of well-made, timeless Danish designs from the 50’s and 60’s. Similarly to the other designs by Hans B∅lling Oscar is not just a handmade dog which looks nice on a shelf. He is a Cocker Spaniel who can change positions and who has the right balance between simplicity and detail.
Cooperating with well-know Danish architects the idea of Architectmade is very special. They apply the highest quality standards which makes every design unique and very importantly long-lasting. I don’t see any reason why I would be getting tired of presenting Oscar in my flat.
After this story about longevity and timelessness I am very excited for the changes the new year might bring – meeting new people, trying new restaurants, visiting new countries…
Cheers to 2017!
